...is better that no bass at all. 

This little fellow grabbed my worm Sunday morning in the little pond below Shihmen Reservoir. In an earlier post I speculated that this and the other ponds in the area were old fish farms. I was wrong about that. I have since learned that these old ponds were dug to allow sediment to settle when water was released from the reservoir before it was sent down stream. I spotted many small bass this morning (and two large koi), all about the size of this one. Given time, this should be a nice bass pond.
